SANXENXO

The first signs of life in our municipality must look at the Neolithic period, 4000 years before Christ.
The salt turned the area into one of the most important, commercially speaking, in Galicia, and playing a decisive role in its economic history until the eighteenth century. In the third and fourth centuries the Roman Empire stretches across the northwestern peninsula. Sanxenxo is located in the south west coast valley Salnés, bathed in the rias of Pontevedra and Arousa. With an area of 44 km2 and 17,077 inhabitants, has 36 km Sanxenxo. that stretch of coast from Punta Santa Marina, in the Ria de Pontevedra, to Fianteira in the Ria de Arousa.
